Ravioli Sausage Lasagna

This recipe is quickly becoming one of my favorite weeknight meals. As moms we love to find quick meals that are a cinch to put together and that taste great. This is one that you can whip up in the morning and put in the fridge until dinner time. It takes only 20 minutes to put together with 1 hour of cook time and dinner is on the table.

My sister came up this week and I made this dish for them. My niece told me that it was the Best! I serve this cheesy casserole with garlic bread and a great salad. With just 5 ingredients this is the perfect weeknight meal!
1 1/4 lbs Italian sausage
1 jar of your favorite tomato pasta sauce
1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese-filled ravioli
2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

1. Cook sausage; drain. Set aside.

2. Spread 1/2 cup of the pasta sauce in a ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches. Arrange single layer of frozen ravioli over sauce then evenly pour 1 cup of pasta sauce over ravioli. Sprinkle evenly with 1 1/2 cups of sausage and 1 cup of the mozzarella. Repeat layers with remaining ravioli, pasta sauce and sausage

3. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and refrigerate at least 8 hours but no longer than 24 hours.

4. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake covered for 45 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle with remaining 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella and the Parmesan cheese. Bake about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and lasagna is hot in the center. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

Happy Weekend! See ya soon!
