August 1st was my bambini first day of school! Every year I like to commemorate this day by taking pictures of them on our front porch.
This is my daughters last year in middle school and my sons last year in elementary. Queue the tears!
At the parent reception, another parent walked up to me and begin to ask where I stayed cause she thought she saw me this morning. I told her and begin to tell me why she asked. She was riding by a house this morning on her way to drop off and she saw a scene that was something out of a picture book. She said the mother was on the porch waving goodbye to her daughter on her way to school, then the daughter turned around and ran back to hug her mom. She said she wanted to stop and take a picture cause it was the sweetest thing she saw. That lady was me! I smiled and we continued talking. This is a good example of how others may view us from afar and that made me happy cause I am sometimes really hard on myself.

DeleteYour three little ones are so freaking cute!! I hope they enjoyed their first day of school! Tabari starts school in a few weeks, its his last year of Middle School too, I'm right there with you with tears in my eyes, my baby was really grown-up way to fast
ReplyDeleteThanks! They enjoyed seeing all their friends again and getting reacquainted. My baby was excited to start big boy school and he even made a new friend on the first day. You and I are right there together with our oldest, Lord give us strength!

Thanks! I remember the first day of high school, how nervous I was. I think I only got an hours worth of sleep that night, good times!
