Meet Our Back Porch

Hello! One of my 2013 home goals is to spruce up my back porch. I have a list of things I want done and I am trying to have most finished by the summer. I have this wonderful relaxing and comfortable looking inspirational space in mind when I think of what I want for my porch area.

Isn't that porch just lovely? I just want to sit there and have a cup of tea! It has everything I want in a porch. A nice comfortable sitting area, fans, and curtains.

With my Easter Egg Hunt fast approaching, it's this weekend, I needed to get a few things checked off my list. First on the list was a good cleaning. I cleared the space of all the junk I had tossed back there last fall and gave it a good scrub down. I had posted a picture of me on instagram washing the porch, did you see it?

Here is my porch area after the decluttering and cleaning. I didn't want to frighten you with any before the cleaning pictures! :) It is a nice size and can accommodate a large sitting area.

I will be back tomorrow to share my rug choice paired with my outdoor furniture. To make me accountable I will list my to-dos for this space.

Back Porch To-Do List
Purchase an outdoor rug
Add vibrate fluffy cushions and pillows
Plant some shade loving plants in colorful planters
Hang outdoor curtains
Paint concrete
Install a ceiling fan

I am super excited about this space, it is coming together quickly. Can't wait to start spending more time back here come warmer weather. My computer is back after a weeks stay with the Geek Squad! I'm happy to be back blogging, I have a lot to share.

I joined Bloglovin' a site that helps you follow blogs you read by letting you know when they update. When Google announced that they will be doing away with Google Reader on July 1st I had to come up with a way to read the blogs I follow. I mostly read my blogs from my phone and Bloglovin' has an app so I am in business.

  1. Oh goodness, you should see mine. It's so dingy after the long winter we had. I can't wait to see what you do with your space. Hopefully it will inspire me to start my own. Enjoy your weekend.

  3. Yay, for your computer getting fixed! Your porch looks huge, such a great space and so many possibilities! The curtains and fan will look so pretty out there!

    1. I am so happy to have my 'puter' back, its like an lifeline. I am currently trying to figure out how to hang my curtains. Outdoor rods are shockingly expensive, so I am trying to rig something up. :)
